Skullcandy has unveiled a new version of its Crusher wireless headphones, this time packing Bose’s audio tech — including QuietControl active noise cancellation and head-tracking spatial audio. The Crusher line has always stood out by using separate full-range and dedicated bass drivers in each ear cup to pump up low frequencies. Skullcandy admits that cranking the bass can sometimes hurt audio quality, but the new Crusher 1080 ANC aim to fix that with help from Bose.

Available today for $279.99 in black, candy, primer, and cement, the Crusher 1080 ANC feature redesigned drivers with a stiffer diaphragm material. Skullcandy says this boosts clarity and detail while cutting distortion at higher volumes. As before, the bass boost is fully adjustable via the Skullcandy app or on-headphone controls — now with a more prominent dial on the outside.

The Crusher 1080 ANC are now available in black, cement, primer, and candy color options.
These are the first non-Bose headphones to include Bose’s TrueSpatial audio with head tracking, which works whether you’re sitting still or out for a run. They also pack Bose’s WaveForm audio engine, which Skullcandy says keeps audio “full, balanced, and smooth.” For noise cancellation, the Crusher 1080 ANC use Bose’s six-microphone QuietControl system that adapts to changing ambient noise. They also feature Bose’s SpeechClarity for clearer calls — though they aren’t the first third-party headphones to offer that.

A control dial is now positioned more prominently on the outside of the headphones, alongside other customizable controls.
Battery life is rated up to 60 hours with ANC off, or 50 hours with it on. A 10-minute rapid charge gives up to four hours of playback. The headphones support multipoint pairing for connecting to multiple devices, auto reconnect, and wear detection that pauses music when you take them off. They fold flat for easier storage. Bluetooth 5.3 with LE Audio, low latency audio, and Auracast are also on board.
